Vegas, are you Serious?

Ok, Y'all, here's the Vegas pics, or at least some of them. Overall, it was a great time and we were happy to see many of our friends there, including: Andrew, Terri, Mark, Michelle, Joe, Kelli, The Toasters, Voodoo Glow Skulls, RBF, Tazy Phillips, Fishbone, Westbound Train, Mo, Judd, Karl(Carl?) and everyone that I forgot, or met that night. (especially the girl with the "special backstage passes")let's just say they looked like this: (.)(.) and didn't work. Security was pretty tight that day, something about it being a State Park.
Anyhow, it was great fun, from the after-party to hittin the casinos the next day. I think that the big winner in the Pie crew was John Darby with about $200 in slots. I think that made up for what the rest of us lost. We had better luck gettin Guinness at the bar with the MOJU crew, (on Michelle's tab, of course(thanks!!!)). Ok, 'nuff said, check out the shots, we've got some special guest photographers this time.

This one was taken in our shitty hotel by the man: Moshe Koenick

(Big thanks to the dude that brought the tequila, it was much appreciated!!!)

These Pics were taken by JuddIrishBradley, and I think they came out real niice:

These on-stage pics were taken by our good friends, Joe Simpson and his Girl, Kelli. We missed you guys at the after-party!

930 Club Show

We would like to thank everyone that came out to the 930 Club last Saturday. 871 paid admission, and 70 on the guest list. Not a bad turn out at all! The show was a success, what with Trip Lizard, The Pressure Sounds, The Players and Rude Buddha opening up. I'd like to mention everyone that came to say hello to us, but there were so many, let me just say it was a good party. Oh, and some guy named Chris chickened out of proposing to his girlfriend on stage. Wherever you are, Chris, you made the right move!!!
The next day, we got together for a quick rehersal to hammer out some new songs with Carlos before he headed back to Dallas, and that turned out to be really productive. We worked on 2 songs and ate 4 pizzas......lol! Over all the song to pizza ratio was a little low, but what can you do? Afterwards, Jackson, D'Anj, Crandall, John Rockwinski and I went and saw The 40 Year Old Virgin, and laughed like crackheads on welfare day. thats about it. Next posts will be about the October tour with Big D and the Kids Table.

VA Beach Show

Here's the report of the Jewish Mother show.
The food was great, they know how to make a Turkey samwich in that joint. We hung with my highschool buddy, and Iraqi war vet Dave Taxson. (Jer and I watched him change his tire. WooHoo!)Many beers later, We watched Backside Slappy play. Those guys mush have signed a bomb deal, cuz they had all new gear. Next was 33 West, good as usual, except that they didn't know who Blur is/was. We played our set, joined by our trumpet whiz Mike Trumpet (i wonder where he got that name?), who seems to know our songs better than me, despite never practicing with the band. After the show, the real fun began. Jackson had ordered 7 chocolate eclairs from the restaurant, which came in handy later. (They make them fresh there, possibly the highlight of the whole event)
Next, we decided to go to the beach, at 3:30 AM. The water was so nice, we all said fuck it and jumped in. There were also bigger waves than usual there, possibly due to Ophelia. The bonus to this part is that we were joined by 3 topless girls in pietasters thongs. It's good to be the band. We were all on top of the world, until we were woken up at 6AM to go home. (sometimes its not so good)

Muse Fest

Well, last saturday was the Muse Fest, near Ithaca, NY, and it was a surprisingly good time. Nice weather, and a well-mowed field contributed to a pretty good camping-festival. We arrived early, as traffic was light, and watched some of the earlier acts on the Rock stage, and Skateboard ramp. Eventually, LaPlaca arrived, and then it was OK to start the drinking. The whole time i was cursing myself for not having my camera, because it was so nice out. We played around 8:30, and had a good response from the crowd. People literally came out of the woods to come check us out. After the show, we continued to hang around and enjoy the party. The stars up there are trippy, Man!!!! We want to shout out to the Brakes, from Philly, who we met in the beer-ateria, after the show. They seem like great guys, and we will likely play somewhere on the East coast with them soon. After that, it was back to the Band and Breakfast to play original Nintendo, and sleep. As for the Europe pics, I have plenty of available space here, so I will post them as soon as possible.
